About Nicole

Hometown: Halifax, NS
Sun Sign: Libra, Libra, and more Libra! Did I mention I was a Libra?
Favorite Words: “I Forgive”
I wish for: Every single soul to find courage to act out of love and not fear.
I am thankful for: The sweet and pure souls of my two children; Aidan and Ronan; especially when they lift the toilet seat and then place it back down. And for the unconditional love of my family and friends.
What gives you peace? The ocean. Seeing my children as they sleep and when the boys in my life don’t pee on the toilet seat.
Why Yoga? Transformation. Community. Medicine for the mind, body and soul.
3 words to describe you: Compassionate, funny and playful. td>
What/who inspires you? People who live from a real and raw authentic place. Who have the courage to share their truth with others so that they may set others free to do the same. People who ask for help when needed.
What you can’t live without? The natural and uninhibited curiosity of children, laughter, love, touch, the ocean, the truth, and music.
Favorite yoga pose and why? Warrior One because I feel strong and vulnerable…free.
Secret comfort foods? Chocolate. Covered. Almonds. ‘Nuff said.
Words to live by (or your favorite quote): “A person’s eyes are the window to their soul. Let them be seen. Always. “
Best advice you’ve ever received (from who?): “Your mistakes do not define you. They are meant to guide you. Acknowledge, accept and transform. When you live from this place; you become compassionate and therefore give others the space to do the same. ~ A combination of many beautiful teachers in my life.
What do you love to do for FUN? Get out in nature with my boys and doggie. Meaningful conversation and laughter with those I admire and true to my western-cultured roots; SHOPPING! Keeping it real!
When/where/with who was your first yoga class? With a few friends in Sherry’s studio while at West End Mall. Little did I know…
