Yoga helps me feel better both physically and mentally. It has also become a spiritual practice and a way of life for me, and one that I love to share with others.
I completed the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Halifax Yoga in 2017. Following that, I took the 60 hour mentorship program at Halifax Yoga with Barbie Leggett, and served as a mentor/assistant in YTT. In 2021 I took the 200 hour Sivananda Teacher Training Course. In addition, I took Restorative Yoga Teacher Training with Andrea Peloso. I am also certified in Reiki Level 2.
My teaching experience includes power flow, hatha, yin yang, yin, and restorative classes. The latter is my favourite class to teach, I must admit, especially when I can share essential oils in an aroma restorative class. I also love leading hatha yoga classes, focusing on mindful practice, balancing effort with ease, and guiding conscious relaxation.
I love to hold space for others to find their strength, stillness, or whatever it is that they are seeking. I’m fascinated by this ancient practice and how it can centre us as we grapple with the ups and downs of modern life.
My other loves are music, cooking, and my two crazy kitties, Alfie and Omie.
