When embarking on training for a long footrace (the NYC Marathon) in 2004, Karen added yoga to her practice, as it was the perfect partner to running, to keep limber and balanced. She has been a part of the Halifax Yoga family, practicing yoga here since 2010. As we age, the body becomes less resilient, so to build up core, leg and arm muscles, indoor cycling on the RealRyders was added to her weekly routine in 2014, and she fell in love with how it made her feel. After doing the Indoor Cycling Instructor training course, with the amazing Tracy Estey-Willick in 2018, she has been teaching at Halifax Yoga ever since. Karen curates music, from all decades from the 1960s forward to today, into fun and varied classes to get your heart pumping and set your thighs on fire! The drills in her 30, 45 and 60 minute classes are always built around the beat of each song, so you can close your eyes and dig in. She looks forward to seeing you in the saddle!
