Erica has always been active and loves being in nature. She has been practicing yoga for sometime, but her world was transformed when she became a student at Halifax Yoga in 2011. At Halifax Yoga she found a place where she could be physically active, heal emotionally and grow spiritually.
Her yoga practice deepened as she completed numerous workshops and in 2012-2013 decided to study to become a Certified Yoga Teacher under the mentorship of Sherry Zak and Coeli Marsh. Erica is also a Certified Yoga Life Coach and loves helping others to empower their lives and connect with their purpose through coaching.
At heart, Erica is a student of yoga, and enjoys exploring how her own practice can change and develop. She has been inspired by many incredible teachers and is now so grateful to also teach what she loves. When she teaches her intention is to be in joyful service to the students in her class, so that they can have the space to grow and transform on and off their mat.

|What you can’t live without?:||Yoga. Family. Lip chap (I love Burt’s Bees and EOS). The ocean (very) close by. Laughter.|
|Favorite yoga pose and why?:||Legs up the wall… my feet beg me to do it at the end of the day. It renews me.|
|Secret comfort foods?:||Rice crackers and Morris East gluten-free pizza, so delicious!|

|Best advice you’ve ever received (from who?):||“Focus on feeling good…that’s all that matters, the rest will follow.” Jerry and Ester Hicks say this, and I love it!|

|What do you love to do for FUN?:||Play board games with my family, watch movies, travel, YOGA!, walk in the park, dance and sing (even if just in my kitchen!).|
|When/where/with who was your first yoga class?:||Age 14ish, Chocolate Lake Recreation Centre (across the street from HY!), with my mom (now she takes my classes!), I don’t remember who the teacher was, but I remember doing legs up the wall!|
