My love for yoga has grown and evolved over the 11+ years that I have been practicing. I started practicing yoga as a cross training option when I was running half and full marathons. Originally, I saw yoga as a great workout and good way to stretch, the more I went the more I realized there is much more to yoga then exercise and stretching. I was able to find my breath, my inner calm and for the first time in my life I felt truly connected, mind, body, and soul. I know that comes across as a cliché but until you truly feel that connection it will probably always sound like a cliché.
It wasn’t until 2021 that I decided it was time to take the Yoga Teacher Training course at Halifax Yoga. I had wanted to take this training for as long as I had been practicing yoga, but the timing never seemed to workout. The community at HY welcomed me with open arms and I am forever grateful.
